Mahua Moitra, a Trinamool MP, was dismissed from the Lok Sabha on Friday following a discussion on the cash-for-question accusations. She was not permitted to speak in the Lok Sabha during the debate, even though the Trinamool party had requested that she speak on the party’s behalf.

Industrialist Darshan Hiranandani was accused of giving Mahua Moitra money and presents in exchange for a Parliament login that allowed Hiranandani to publish criticism of Gautam Adani and the Adani Group.
