After nine year absence CM Punk has rejoined WWE

After a nine-year absence, CM Punk has rejoined the WWE. The enormously popular, divisive professional wrestler made his public debut on Saturday night in his birthplace of Chicago, at the conclusion of the WWE Survivor Series event. The arrival of punk was totally unexpected and kept a secret.

Punk’s “Cult of Personality” entrance theme played after the card’s main event, and he entered the arena before the show ended. As the audience erupted in shock, punk squatted in his trademark position and exclaimed, “It’s clobberin’ time!” Punk was fired by All Elite Wrestling (AEW), the WWE’s main rival, in August for an unspecified reason after getting into a brawl backstage with wrestler Jack Perry.

It did indeed occur. At the WWE Survivor Series WarGames in 2023, the WWE Universe saw more comebacks than only Randy Ortan’s eagerly awaited return. After a seven-year absence, former WWE champion CM Punk made a spectacular comeback to the company, stealing the limelight from Orton at the paperview event.

Punk, who began his wrestling career in the WWE, has returned to the organization that launched him, All Elite Wrestling (AEW), where he was dubbed a huge draw. After the men’s WarGames main event at Survivor Series concluded, punk made an appearance. WWE hinted that Randy Orton wouldn’t be attending the Survivor Series during the build-up to the main event.

Loud cries of “CM Punk” broke out inside the Allstate Arena as Sami Zayn and Jey Uso were shown discussing Ortan’s absence from the event during a Survivor Series backstage segment. During the men’s WarGames match, which also included Ortan making his 18-month comeback to the WWE ring, Punk’s name was brought up.

Chicago’s own Punk was playing the legendary Cult of Personality song at the Allstate Arena, as the WWE Universe was busy celebrating the return of the Viper. The former WWE champion gave his watch a famous glance, making his present feel special. Following the WWE Survivor Series 2023, COO Triple H shared a picture alongside Punk on social media. With the caption, “Mighty cold day in hell. #SurvivorSeries,” Triple H became viral on X.

Punk, one of the most renowned superstars in WWE history, debuted in 2006 on the revived ECW. Throughout his illustrious career, the WWE veteran has won Intercontinental, World Heavyweight, World Tag Team, ECW, and WWE Championships. Punk was last seen in the Royal Rumble Match on January 26, 2014, prior to his incredible comeback at Survivor Series WarGames.

Punk had spent two years in AEW, a time marked by numerous injuries and dramatic events behind the scenes, including multiple physical altercations. Despite all of that, Punk was the promotion’s top money-making draw and a two-time AEW world champion. Though Punk’s creative ambitions are unknown, his return to WWE will be the talk of the wrestling world for some time to come. One of the biggest stars the business has seen in the last 20 years is punk.

During the press conference following the event, WWE Chief Content Officer Paul “Triple H” Levesque remarked, “This was one of those lightning-in-a-bottle moments that came together very quickly.” But we can’t get enough of our excitement. It has been a while. It’s been a long time coming, in some respects.

Whatever you want to say about CM Punk, you can say it: People talk about him a lot, whether you love him or loathe him. For that, he is a magnetic. It’s difficult to ignore the fact that he sparks conversations.” Later on Saturday, Levesque shared a picture of himself and Punk on his X account.

Punk had a strained exit from WWE in 2014. Due to health concerns, he first left, but on his wedding day, he learned that he had been fired. After promising to give up wrestling for seven years, he joined with the UFC later that year and competed twice before making a comeback with AEW in 2021.

Chris Amann, the doctor for WWE, filed a defamation lawsuit against Punk in late 2014 after Punk discussed his treatment by Amann and WWE in general on a podcast. During Punk’s time in the WWE, he had personal conflicts with Levesque. If you’re the same person you were ten years ago, Levesque said on Saturday, “You messed up.”

Levesque remarked, “Everyone changes and grows.” “He’s a different individual, just as I am. This business is not the same. We’re all starting from the same place. What will CM Punk do next? That should be fascinating, right? Personally, I’d like to see that.
