Method:- Begin by placing cleaned crab in a saucepan. Add ½ cup of water, salt, and turmeric powder, mixing thoroughly. Cover and cook for approximately 3 minutes. Strain this mixture and set aside while reserving the cooking water. In a separate kadai or frying pan, heat oil and add cumin and fennel seeds, allowing them to crackle.

Next, add onions, green chili, and curry leaves, sautéing until the onions turn golden brown. Add ginger garlic paste and cook for a minute. Introduce tomatoes and cook until they turn mushy. Incorporate the spice powders, salt, and a little of the reserved cooking water, mixing well.

Cook this for about 5 minutes. Then, add the crab, tossing it thoroughly in the masala. Pour in the remaining water, cover, and cook for 5 to 6 minutes. Increase the heat momentarily to dry the dish for a minute. Finally, add coriander leaves and mix well before serving.
