SIR Mapping Completed in West Bengal Shocking Data Emerges from East Midnapore!

Kolkata: The mapping work for the final phase of the Special Intensive Revision( SIR) of choosers in West Bengal has been completed ahead of the National Election Commission’s meeting. Except for two sections, the mapping process has been finished across the state.

This mapping compared the 2002 namer list with the current namer roll to identify matches before starting the special modification process.

Due to natural disasters, Jalpaiguri and Darjeeling sections have been given an fresh five days to complete their mapping work. Across the state, data shows that further than 52% of choosers on the 2002 list still appear on the current list. Once Jalpaiguri and Darjeeling complete their mapping, that figure is anticipated to rise slightly above 54%.

According to Chief Electoral Officer Manoj Kumar Agarwal, “ Mapping and data entry work has been completed in all sections except two. Darjeeling and Jalpaiguri have been granted three further days to finish. ”

Among all sections, East Midnapore showed the loftiest imbrication — over 68% of names from the 2002 list still live on the current list. In discrepancy, North 24 Parganas and West Burdwan recorded the smallest probabilities.

The numbers reveal significant indigenous difference, with East Midnapore leading and West Burdwan at the bottom. The mapping data will serve as a critical foundation for the forthcoming namer list modification across the state.
