Escalator Incident Sparks Alarm
Former U.S. President Donald Trump alleged a shocking series of sabotage attempts during his recent visit to the United Nations. In a lengthy post on Truth Social, he described three separate incidents, starting with an escalator malfunction that nearly caused harm to him and former First Lady Melania Trump. Calling it “absolutely sabotage,” Trump demanded that the UN secure surveillance footage and hold those responsible accountable.
Teleprompter Failure During Speech
According to Trump, the second alleged incident occurred when his teleprompter suddenly went dark as he addressed world leaders. He emphasized that the equipment failure forced him to deliver large portions of his remarks without prepared text. Though the device resumed working later, Trump insisted this was no ordinary glitch. He argued that the timing of the breakdown suggested a deliberate attempt to undermine his speech at the global stage.
Sound Issues Inside the Auditorium
The former president added that sound in the main auditorium mysteriously cut out during his address, leaving many leaders unable to hear without interpreter headsets. Trump recalled asking Melania for feedback after the speech, only to be told she could not hear a single word. Calling it the third act of sabotage, Trump argued this was proof of a coordinated effort to embarrass him before international audiences.
Demand for Investigation and Criticism of UN
Trump declared that these incidents were not coincidental but part of a “triple sabotage” plan against him at the United Nations. He stated the Secret Service would investigate and called for UN security tapes to be preserved. Extending his criticism, Trump also blasted European allies for their stance on immigration and the Ukraine conflict, warning that their policies were driving their countries, in his words, straight to hell.
