The brand-new Himalayan 450 adventure tourer, which is scheduled to replace the Himalayan 411 in the company’s global portfolio, has been unveiled by Gurugram, India-based Royal Enfield. At the Motoverse 2023 event held in Goa, the motorcycle was introduced by the firm.

While the Summit version costs Rs 2.79 lakh, the Slate model is available for Rs 2.74 lakh. The highest-spec Hanle Black model, on the other hand, costs Rs 2.84 lakh.
In terms of design, hardware, and other aspects, this is the bikemaker’s most recent offering from Chennai. All all, there are five distinct paint jobs: Hanle Black, Kamet White, Slate Poppy Blue, Slate Himalayan 450 Salt, and Kaza Brown. In the nation, it competes with the BMW G 310 GS, Yezdi Adventure, and KTM 390 Adventure. Base price is ₹2.69 lakh, while Pass, Summit (Kamet White), and Summit (Hanle Black) are priced higher.
All prices are ex-showroom. It should be noted that the pricing are merely introductory and are valid till December 31. The bike is equipped with the recently built Sherpa 450 engine, a first for Royal Enfield that is a 450 cc single-cylinder liquid-cooled machine. The engine produces 40 Nm of maximum torque and 39.4 bhp of peak power.
It is coupled to a 6-speed gearbox with a slipper clutch. Three versions of the Himalayan 450 will be available: Base, Pass, and the highest-end Summit. The Base version is available in Kaza Brown, while the Pass version is available in Slate Himalayan Salt and Slate Poppy Blue. In contrast, Summit is offered in Kamit White and Hanle Black color schemes.

The KTM 390 Adventure, Triumph Scrambler 400 X, and Yezdi Adventure will be faced off against the Himalayan 450. Like its predecessor, the new Himalayan 450 has a sturdy, tall, and functional frame. The new ADV’s spherical headlight, broad fuel tank, windscreen, and upright rider triangle are just a few of the features that draw attention to its dimensions.
It has integrated turn signals and a taillight, and it is completely LED illuminated. A 450cc liquid-cooled engine producing 40bhp at 8,000 rpm and 40Nm at 5,500 rpm powers the new Himalayan 450. A 320mm disc with a double piston caliper up front and a 270mm disc with a single piston caliper with switchable dual-channel ABS at the back are responsible for the braking.
The Royal Enfield Himalayan 450 is equipped with an off-set monoshock and new WP front forks. Its brakes consist of dual-channel ABS front and rear disc brakes. They are connected to spoked wheels with tubed tires, 21-inch front and 17-inch rear. Royal Enfield is still developing cross-spoke wheels with tubeless tires, though. However, it can take some time before it is formally introduced in India.
